Hi, I'm Lotte 

I am originally from Belgium, where I spent nearly 10 years working in hospitality and customer service before setting off on a new adventure.

In 2022, I started travelling in search of a life closer to nature and further away from the city. I fell in love with the Sierra Nevada almost immediately. I decided to make that feeling official and settle here for good. It is still one of the best decisions I've ever made.

 

How Spanish Guardian began

Spanish Guardian grew naturally out of the work I was already doing in the area. What started as cleaning, gardening and helping local residents and expats gradually grew into something more. Clients began asking me to check on their homes while they were away, welcome their guests or take care of the little things when they couldn't be there themselves. As more people started asking for help, I realised there was a real need for someone local, reliable and personally involved in looking after their homes. And so, Spanish Guardian was born.

My approach

For me, taking care of a property goes beyond simply getting the job done. It's about trust, attention to detail and knowing that someone genuinely cares.

There's a difference between making a home look clean and making sure it's genuinely clean. I choose the latter every time. 
I treat every property I look after as if it were my own. I take pride in my work, pay attention to the little details and genuinely care about doing things properly.

One of my favourite things is seeing guests arrive at their holiday home in the mountains, watching their faces light up as they take in the house and the views. I still get that same feeling myself whenever I stop to look around, and I love being able to share a little of that wonder with others.

Whether I'm looking after a home, preparing it for guests, or simply keeping an eye on things while its owners are away, my goal is always the same: to give people peace of mind, knowing their property is in good hands even when they're far away.

I hope to keep doing what I love here for many years to come.

And when I'm not working? You'll most likely find me hiking in the mountains, riding my horse along the trails or enjoying a quiet afternoon at the beach with a good book. ☺️
